Tuscany Hall is a modern theatre in Florence and one of the main concert venues. Realized in 1978 in Bellariva, on the right bank of the Arno river, in the wake of the phenomenon of tent theatres as alternative spaces to the traditional theatres that had spread from Rome to all over Italy, this new space has imposed itself in the cultural panorama thanks to a high level programming. From pop and rock music concerts (just think of some names who performed here in the eighties: Fabrizio De André and the Premiata Forneria Marconi, Battiato and Vasco Rossi, Baglioni and Vecchioni, Pino Daniele, Antonello Venditti, Renato Zero, and foreign artists such as Bob Geldof, Level 42, Simply Red, Beady Eye, Matt Bianco, Steve Vai) to those who opened Florence to Afro-American music, who introduced new trends in jazz, research and creative music and finally contemporary fusion.
