It consists of the Sagrestia Nuova (New Sacristy), designed by Michelangelo, the Cappella dei Principi (Chapel of Princes), a monumental hardstone mausoleum, the Crypt, where the Grand Dukes and members of the Medici family are buried, and the Lorena Crypt, containing the tomb of Cosimo il Vecchio and remains of Lorena family members.
