Alessandro Frassica’s gourmet shop, situated between the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, specialises in sandwiches. It’s a small haven also recommended for the purchase of rare local, national and foreign specialities. You must try the author sandwich and the gourmet kit including Cosimino meatloaf by Dario Cecchini. Sandwiches or “Schiacciate” stuffed with pink salami and pesto made from zucchini and saffron, taleggio cheese and “finocchiona”, gorgonzola and fig mustard, fresh goat’s cheese and anchovies, seasoned pecorino cheese and paprika.
