Run by the same family since 1945, this is one of Florence’s most typical restaurants, frequented by both locals and tourists and serving dishes deeply rooted in the city’s as well as in the family’s history. In addition to barbecued Florentine-style T-bone steak and mixed Tuscan fry, the menu includes homemade tortellini- the recipe has been handed down from the Bolognese Bruno to his daughter Chiara Masiero (the current owner) - and exotic curry prawns with rice and homemade mango chutney sauce, served in Florence since the Fifties. The olive oil and house wine are organically produced by Il Peraccio farm run by Chiara’s brother, Francesco. A wide choice of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.
