Since 1980 a director of Cassetti Gioielli and this year nominated Cavaliere del Lavoro
Yours is, first and foremost, a long family tradition. Please tell us how it all began.
The company was born in 1926 out of the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Renzo Cassetti, the heir to a tradition of Florentine goldsmiths and silversmiths, specializing in hand-worked and wrought silverware, and who transformed a small workshop into a benchmark in the field.
This year you were awarded the Order of Merit for Labour. What does this recognition mean to you?
This unexpected honor is a important goal, which proves the commitment and dedication that I have put into my whole life.
Let’s talk about your jewelry, what makes it unique?
The exclusive design, the attention to trends and ongoing research, owing to which we give life to creations with a strong personality, and the possibility to customize our pieces of jewelry and make them perfect for both a unique occasion or as an iconic symbol to be worn every day.
Your shop windows on Ponte Vecchio now display also the most exclusive watches, and so the opening of the Rolex and Vacheron Constantin boutiques followed. The latest trends?
Small-sized dials are very popular right now, but the watchmaking world is constantly changing and developing in both the new and second-hand markets.
What kind of experiences and services do you offer?
The company has six shops- in Florence, Forte dei Marmi and Prato- offering the best selection of jewelry and watchmaking brands, along with full assistance, which is performed very professionally but also with all our heart.
One of your favorite places near Florence?
The Chianti countryside, where we own a beautiful farm which is also a holiday farm: Le Filigare.
