Let's discover together the 25Hours Hotel in Florence
General Manager Bart Spoorenberg takes us on a tour of the new hotel that pays homage to the Divine Comedy
25hours Hotel in Florence: what’s the idea behind this venture?
To bring our style and our philosophy of hospitality to Florence. The hotel as an experience to enjoy, not merely a place to sleep, with international taste and local design.
Your strength?
‘We don’t take ourselves too seriously’. It’s a fascinating place whose design is completely original, based on Dante’s Divine Comedy, with service that’s professional yet informal. Our young staff are chosen for who they are, not what they’ve done.
Your favourite room?
Our Inferno rooms, with private garden and outdoor shower… especially when the weather’s good. But there’s also the Casetta del Giardino with a private pool, a kitchen and plenty of outdoor space for eating and fun.
How do you turn a stay in Florence into an experience?
With the 25hours approach, our staff and the many different places to explore, from the grocery store to the Cinema Paradiso, the billiard room, the outdoor courtyard, the San Paolino restaurant and the Companion Bar.
Is the San Paolino restaurant open to non-residents? What are the dishes we shouldn’t miss?
Absolutely! We offer simple, seasonal mediterranean food with a focus on great ingredients. Try the main courses cooked on the charcoal grill in the open kitchen.
Which cocktails should we order at the Companion Bar?
The classic Negroni with Nobile Savoia vermouth, and the Amler, a version of Negroni made with raspberry liqueur.
Your favourite outing in Florence?
Definitely the Oltrarno neighbourhood, from San Frediano to San Niccolò, exploring the little boutiques, art galleries, traditional restaurants, cocktail bars and vintage stores.
