How did your passion for antiques and art begin?
Art and beauty have always been an inherent part of our lives and interests. Travelling and visiting exhibitions, art fairs and antiquarian markets is our passion.
The most prestigious piece that entered your incredible ‘Hall of wonders’?
Probably a beautiful centerpiece in majolica and biscuit in revivalist style manufactored by Ginori in the second half of the XIX century. A truly stunning piece of decorative art.
The most curious one?
Definitely our Carreto Siciliano! It’s a kaleidoscope of colours, intricate carvings and paintings depicting important battles and breathtaking landscapes of Sicilian rich cultural heritage.
Not to mention the extraordinary craftsmanship behind it.
Why did you choose Florence?
It was love from the first sight. We can not imagine ourselves anywhere else.
Your favourite places in the city?
We like the beautifully restored Odeon, which combines a cinema with a library, the Manifattura Tabbachi for its eclectic ambiance or Santo Spirito for a coffee.
Tasty spots that combine good food and beauty?
The Cantinetta Antinori. We also like the Trattoria Sostanza, a restaurant without a refrigerator! What can be more fresh?
