Wales Bonner is Guest Designer at Pitti Immagine Uomo n.102

The famous designer will present her spring/summer 2023 collection

Wales Bonner is the Guest Designer of Pitti Immagine Uomo n.102, which will be held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 14 to 17 June 2022.

With a fashion show event in a Florentine location yet to be revealed, the designer of Anglo-Jamaican origins will present a preview of the new Spring-Summer 2023 collection of the homonymous brand, Wales Bonner.

"We have known the work of Grace Wales Bonner since the very beginning," says Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine's communications and events director, "attracted first and foremost by the cultural sensitivity and multidisciplinary approach that she displays in her collaborations with artists and other stylists and that she pours into each of her collections. But then we followed the evolution of his men's fashion, the progressive grafting of elegant tailoring onto fashion design training and elements of sportswear, a style that, borrowing from music, we might call soul".

"This is a special opportunity for me to express Wales Bonner's vision of cultural luxury in the context of an institution like Pitti Uomo," said Grace Wales Bonner.
Grace Wales Bonner has received numerous awards, including Emerging Menswear Designer at the British Fashion Awards (2015), the LVMH Young Designer Prize (2016), as well as winning the British Fashion Council / Vogue Designer Fashion Fund (2019) and the CFDA International Men's Designer of the Year award (2021). In 2019, Grace was invited by Maria Grazia Chiuri to collaborate at Dior to reinterpret the maison's New Look silhouette for the Resort 2020 collection.
