Tuscany at the Berlin Film Festival 2023
Enzo d'Alò's animated film and Antonio Bigini's debut feature in competition in the Generation Kplus section
Tuscany is flying to Berlin thanks to two films supported by the Toscana Film Commission: Mary and the Spirit of Midnight, the new animated film - made at Manifatture Digitali Cinema Prato - by Enzo d'Alò, author of La gabbianella e il gatto, for the first time in competition at the Berlinale with the story of an 11-year-old Irish girl who dreams of becoming a chef, and Le proprietà dei metalli, Antonio Bigini's debut feature, which tells the story of Pietro, a child with the extraordinary power to bend metals with a single touch and who lives in Sestino, a small village in the Arezzo area, the set of the filming along with various locations in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines and Badia Tedalda.
The two films are in competition at the Berlin Film Festival 2023, this year from Feb. 16-26, in the Generation Kplus section, dedicated to children and young people.
