The Carnival in Tuscany, exhibitions, shows and music not to be missed in Florence

From tomorrow until Sunday 10 February Piero Maccarinelli conducts at Teatro della Pergola Alessandro Haber and Lucrezia Lante della Rovere in The father of Florian Zeller. A new and exciting show that tells with irony but also delicacy the disorientation of a man suffering from Alzheimer's.

In Florence boxing returns to the theater, as in the thirties. On Wednesday 6 February, the Teatro Verdi will host the six matches of Boxing Night Florence 2019 for an unusual and fascinating meeting against Parkinson's.

At the start of the Anteprime della Toscana, as every year with Buy Wine, at the Fortezza da Basso on 8 and 9 February. The other events of the week will be: the Anteprime del Nobile wine at the Fortezza of Montepulcino Saturday and Chianti lovers on Sunday afternoon at the Fortezza da Basso.

On Thursday, February 7th the most famous Italian historical-popular novel, I Promessi Sposi, will be staged at the Niccolini theater, as an overturned mirror of Italian behavior. With the management and care of Simone Faloppa.
While at the Relais Santa Croce, Saverio Marconi returns to confront a text by Schmitt, and this time he does so with an intimate narration. Monsieur Ibrahim and the flowers of the Koran.

The 146th Carnival of Viareggio starts on Saturday 9th February, at 3pm, with the Grande Mascherato di Apertura. An all-female carnival of 2019. The entire event will be the celebration of women: guests from the world of art, entertainment, entrepreneurship and volunteering, will bring messages to the female world. Always Saturday, one of the most welcome returns to the Flog Auditorium: the Rino Gaetano Band, the only official cover band of the Italian singer-songwriter, will perform on stage at 10 pm.
