MONDAY 22: Tonight the first concert of this fall at Obihall: Luca Carboni returns live, with the tour dedicated to the new Sputnik album, while the Fiorentina Chamber Orchestra performs again at the Cenacolo di Santa Croce with the piano Bruno Canino.
TUESDAY 23: Filippo Timi inaugurates the season of the Teatro della Pergola with the national premiere of A glass heart in winter, the intense story of an Umbrian knight who leaves to fight the dragon of his fears (until Sunday, October 28). The presentation in Florence of Totò Half-Physical, a photo-book that tells the Prince of Laughter through the words of Gianluca Tenti, the nephew Antonello Buffardi de Curtis and the images of Massimo Sestini.
WEDNESDAY 24: At Nelson Mandela on stage Thegiornalisti, band symbol of new Italian music. At the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Theater, the conductor Fabio Luisi, as for the inauguration of the last 4 October again grappling with Gustav Mahler, this time however with Sinfonia n. 9 in D major (click here to find out the main events of the entire season).
THURSDAY 25: the undisputed idol trap of the moment arrives in Florence: Ghali, at the Nelson Mandela Forum. At the church of San Miniato al Monte is scheduled the first absolute performance of Passionis Fragmenta, a composition for voice and instruments by Salvatore Sciarrino commissioned by the monastic community a prestigious musical tribute to the basilica's Millennium. Tonight and Sunday the last two dates at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with the diptych Le Villi di Puccini with a new staging and Ehi Giò by Vittorio Montalti.
In the Church of Orsanmichele, tonight and tomorrow evening, the Florentine Chamber Orchestra performs, on the Mario Ruffini podium, on the Marina Di Giorno piano, on the David Guerrieri oboe. Until October 28th, at the Metastasio Theater in Prato, Decameron 2.0. The stories we tell ourselves to continue living.
FRIDAY 26: at the Teatro Verdi the inauguration of the season with Gianluigi Gelmetti, who returns after years on the podium of the Orchestra della Toscana for the Stabat Mater by Gioachino Rossini
SATURDAY 27: let's go to Cascina, in the province of Pisa, to meet a great artist with one of his most appreciated shows: Serra Yilmaz with La Bastarda in Istanbul
SUNDAY 28: time of chestnuts in Tuscany with festivals not to be missed, but if you love art do not miss two of the most important exhibitions of this autumn / winter 2018: The Cleaner, the great retrospective at Palazzo Strozzi dedicated to Marina Abramović (until January 20) and Da Magritte to Duchamp. 1929: the Great Surrealism from the Pompidou Center, at Palazzo Blu, Pisa until 17 February. Street art and photography with Banksy instead. This is not a photo opportunity, until February 24th at Palazzo Medici Riccardi, and I have more memories than if I had a thousand years, Pietro Baroni's exhibition realized on the occasion of the reopening of the Leica Store in Florence (until November 20th).
