The special Christmas auction for the Airc foundation returns to Florence
The online Time Auction runs until Tuesday 12
On Wednesday 6 December, Pandolfini's Florentine headquarters in Borgo Albizi 26, hosted the special Christmas auction in presence promoted by the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research. An initiative born 38 years ago and which over time has become an unmissable moment to find many original ideas for Christmas. A unique opportunity to choose exclusive gifts and together support the work of 6,000 researchers committed to finding increasingly effective cures for all patients.
Art expert Fausto Calderai and Charlotte Ricasoli accompanied the public to discover the 92 lots in the catalogue, which ranges from art objects, guided tours with experts, stays in exclusive residences and food and wine products of local excellence. Among the most eagerly awaited proposals are the set of 6 silver shell saltcellars surmounted by musician putti, the service of chiselled gilded silver dessert cutlery, the gold pendant with enamel, three small pearls and an amethyst dating back to the end of the 19th century, and some precious furnishings such as the armchairs with curved shaped backs from the second half of the 19th century or the pair of inlaid wall tables.
In addition to the in-person event, the opportunity to find many ideas for next Christmas is confirmed again this year thanks to the online Time Auction already active on www.pandolfini.it and continuing until Tuesday 12 December. 180 lots to meet the most diverse needs: from the pendant with Australian pearl and white gold necklace proposed by Gioielleria Cassetti to exclusive fashion items such as the short camel Teddy cape by MaxMara, the hooded jacket in recycled nylon microfibre by Herno or the hand bag made of cashmere by Kiton.
Lovers of travel and residences of great charm can stay in some exclusive residences such as the villa i Trulli La Pietraia in Ostuni immersed in the olive groves of the Apulian countryside, the Zisola estate where one can enjoy the splendid atmosphere of the baroque Sicily of Noto, or even think of a getaway to Versilia in Forte dei Marmi for a relaxing break thanks to the attentive welcome of Hotel Franceschi.
