The siege of the Poggio a Caiano Villa

From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September the Villa Medicea at Poggio a Caiano becomes theater of Siege to the villa, historically evocative event that recalls the arrival in Villa of the Princess Joan of Austria, before her wedding with Francesco de 'Medici , son of the Duke Cosimo I.

Three days of events in the park of the Villa and in the village of Poggio a Caiano, with the free guided tours of the Villa, the exhibition in the old kitchens and fascinating cuisines 'secret' of the seventeenth century grand-ducal.

Be noted that at 4, 5 and 6 pm on Sunday 20th September, the Education Department of the Regional Centre of Tuscany, with the direction of the Villa Medicea, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Poggio a Caiano and the Committee Siege of the Villa, offers the Families path, guided tours of an hour for children and parents to the exhibition of the kitchens in the Museum of Still Life and the kitchens of the seventeenth-century Villa Medicea at Poggio a Caiano.
