The new season of the Teatro della Pergola

Appointment on October 28 with the Life of Galileo by Gabriele Lavia

To open the season 2015 - 2016, October 28, the first of the Life of Galileo, which in addition to kick off this program full of famous names and important - as Pierfrancesco Favino, Sergio Rubini, Luca Zingaretti, Fabrizio Bentivoglio and many more - officially opens to the public restoration of the entrance hall, another key step towards the full recovery of all the historical spaces of the Pergola. After the torments of Six Characters in Search of an Author, Gabriele Lavia faces for the first time Bertolt Brecht, directing and starring in The Life of Galileo - on stage until the 12 November (weekdays 8.45pm, festive 3.45pm, rest Friday, November 6) - sixty years after the disappearance of the famous 'playwright'.

On stage, the drama of the relationship between science and morality, science and society.

Edition faithful to the original text for 26 actors, who staged interpret more than eighty characters, and three musicians from the School of Music in Fiesole, playing live original music by Hanns Eisler.

The scenes are by Alessandro Camera, costumes by Andrea Viotti, the lights of Michelangelo Vitullo. Theatre nth degree that develops all its creative possibilities.
