The great concerts of the summer in Florence sled to 2021

Vasco Rossi, Cesare Cremonini, Gianna Nannini and Red Hot Chili Peppers: the new dates but also the new rules for the smaller live shows, starting June 15

It was the Assocazione Assomusica, Monday, May 18, to sanction the stop of the great concerts announced for this Italian summer 2020.

But there's a positive news: from 15th June, there's the green light to small shows, which in the open air can't exceed 1000 spectators, indoors 200.
And also in Florence the slips are many and concern really important names on the international scene. But let's see them in detail, festival after festival, with some new dates.

Concerts postponed by one year at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence: Cesare Cremonini, Gianna Nannini - whose new date we already know: 29 May 2021, Ultimo and Tiziano Ferro.

Firenze Rocks, the Cascine festival organized by Live Nation and Le Nozze di Figaro, will also stop, this year - from June 10 to 13 - with Vasco Rossi (at the Artemio Franchi Stadium), Green Day, Guns n' Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Also postponed to July 2021 the 2020 edition of Musart, the wonderful festival that was supposed to take place in July in Piazza della Santissima Annunziata in Florence. The billboard of the festival will remain almost unchanged. Confirmed the performances of Roberto Bolle, LP, Goran Bregovic and Orchestra Galilei, Stefano Bollani, Edoardo Bennato and ORT, Rock The Opera vol. II, Fiorella Mannoia. The planned concert of Paul Weller will be recovered in the coming months in another space.

The only exception is the dawn concert by pianist Rita Marcotulli, which will take place on Saturday 25th July (4.45 am), in the Courtyard of Men of the Institute of the Innocents.

Also cancelled is the Festival en plein air dell'Estate Fiesolana, scheduled between June 21 and August 23 with evenings of concerts, theatrical events and film screenings. Among the deferred artists Niccolò Fabi, Neri Marcorè, Devendra Banhart, the prose theater with Edoardo Leo, Davide Enia, Lella Costa, Chiara Francini, the great orchestras such as the Orchestra Galilei of the School of Music of Fiesole, ORT-Orchestra della Toscana and Ensemble Symphony Orchestra.

In Tuscany also skip the Pistoia Blues and Lucca Summer Festival.
