The Ferris wheel returns to Florence
At the Cascine until 10 June the skating rink and the big wheel overlooking the city
Florence returns to host the Ferris wheel and ice skating rink over the Christmas festive period.
This year there is a change of location: no longer the gardens of the Fortezza, but the Cascine that will host the 55-metre high Ferris wheel from 8 December to 10 June.
Next to the wheel there are various cultural and entertainment initiatives with a Christmas theme until 15 January. These include a large 1340 square metre ice skating rink, the largest in Italy, where you can twirl around the big Christmas tree, and for the little ones there are cute penguins to help out. There is also the Christmas market, where you can meet Father Christmas in his little house or, wearing visors, take an amazing trip flying aboard the magic sleigh. Don't miss the food stands to eat and drink while enjoying the shows and the atmosphere of a Cascine park that is reborn.
From 1 May to 10 June there are additional attractions to the wheel, but in this case with a spring theme and many activities for children and families.
