Taste arrives in Florence

From 11 to 13 March, at the Stazione Leopolda and throughout the city

Three days full of taste and quality food, including local produce and new flavors, tastings and workshops in a busy schedule. It reaches its twelfth edition Pitti Taste, the fair Pitti dedicated to culinary excellence on stage at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence from 11 to 13 March.

the main focus of this edition is the coffee, with a packed program of events - photo exhibitions, book presentations, contests and talk - that the spotlight on the different ways to live and enjoy one of the most popular beverages in the world, and squeeze the 'eye on the trend of hipster coffee culture.

Contributing to the theme also has a special partnership with La Marzocco - Tuscan company leader in the production of machines to high-tech coffee destined to bars and restaurants - for a range of activities and contests related to coffee professionals and the public of enthusiasts.

There will be over 380 of the leading companies at the Stazione Leopolda, some of the best niche products and enogastronomy excellence from all over Italy.

Events not to be missed? Saturday 11th a workshop curated de La Marzocco, at the Opera House, where visitors can taste different kinds of coffee from roasted blends and single origin from different local roasters.

Brygg Magazine, Norwegian cult magazine dedicated to the theme "Coffee & Conversations" presents a Taste a special exhibition-installation of archival images, and with a storytelling on the coffee culture in the Nordic countries, with the opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in evocative visual atmosphere. The BRYGG exhibition is staged in the square between the Leopolda Station and the Opera House.

Alcatraz in space, available for tasting the most diverse delicacies, from homemade pasta to beer, such as dairy, from vegetables to honey, tinned. Space to the design, with Taste Tools, the section dedicated to food & kitchen design objects, clothing, technical equipment and innovative proposals for the kitchen.

New to this edition is the transfer of the Taste Shop in Piazzale Gau Aulenti, who will buy all the products displayed and tasted during the fair.

The special projects this year the Taste Fumoir that is renewed, in the charming porch of the Florence Opera House, as aggregation and relaxation area offering a touch of novelty and style.

But there will also be conferences on contemporary catering and all topics related to food and wine and food, led by Gastronauta Davide Paolini.

n addition to appointments at the Leopolda Station, another series of events of taste involves the city and its most famous gastronomic gatherings (from Santino at the Four Seasons, from Ora d'Aria in Burde, newcomers and the Buoneria Sottarno of Lunardi Brothers) in the days of the salon is Out of Taste, a festival of shows, performances, talk shows, installations and themed tastings.
