Summer Fiorentina 2020: cinema under the stars in Santa Maria Novella and music in the neighborhoods

These are the first two cultural projects co-promoted by the Municipality for the Florentine Summer 2020

A summer arena under the stars in the splendid large cloister of Santa Maria Novella in July and August, with a maximum capacity of 250 people, this is the outdoor cinema project presented by 'Quelli dell'Alfieri' for a Florentine summer in Phase 3.

The second project is Musica in giro, realized with the company K-Array, which aims to safely bring music and artistic events to the streets, squares and neighbourhoods.
These are the first two projects for the Florentine Summer just unveiled. A kermesse this year will be remodeled due to the Covid-19 pandemic but there will be facilitations for culture producers who will still propose self-financed projects for the 2020 edition.

"In this forcibly reshaped summer - says the Councillor for Culture Tommaso Sacchi - we do not want to give up themes and events to which we have always dedicated resources, attention and energy. On the one hand the cinema under the stars, which in recent years has always had a great success with the public, and on the other hand the enhancement of less central areas, spreading art and culture throughout the city and not only in the historic center, also to avoid gatherings and contexts of urban decay".
