Shops, hairdressers, restaurants... the reopening in Florenze on may 18

Also in Tuscany can reopen all activities

Our beautiful city comes back to life with caution. Already from Monday, May 18 I can reopen all business activities following the guidelines and precautions due to the emergency Covid-19 and indicated by the government.

On May 25th, the gyms will also be free and on June 15th we will be able to return to cinemas and theatres. But let's go in order:

HAIRDRESSERS AND BEAUTY SALONS

On Monday we could finally go to the hairdresser's, or rather we could make an appointment with our trusted barbershop because the distance will force these activities to stagger the clientele through special lists. Also on Monday, wellness and beauty centres can open, whose staff must be equipped not only with gloves and mask but also with a protective visor.

RESTAURANTS, BARS AND CLUBS
From 18 May
, restaurants will also begin to reopen, trying their hand at table layout and making the most of the outdoor space that the City and the Government have decided to increase without further cost. You can sit at the table without a mask, but it will be mandatory for all staff in the dining room and in the kitchen and for customers not seated at the tables.
Even the Bars will be able to resume the 'normal' activity with the threshold of 1 meter among customers even at the counter.

SHOPS
They reopen the fashion streets, so don't miss a walk in via de' Tornabuoni where many boutiques will be active from Monday, May 18. For customers in addition to the distance due to the square meters of the various boutiques, the obligation to wear gloves to choose their clothes. The store managers are already ready to welcome their customers in their private rooms to enjoy the much-dreamed of shopping in peace.

MUSEUMS AND CHURCHES

On Monday the Museum and the Churches can also reopen (masses are also allowed).
The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore had already left for the faithful on May 4th and it will be possible to visit the Cathedral of Florence equipped with a special device that will light up if we get too close to another visitor!

The new room dedicated to Leonardo

From May 19th you can also book a visit to the Uffizi Galleries, if it's so much that you don't go to visit them take advantage to see the new rooms opened by the director Eike Schmidt dedicated to Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci.
From June 3, tickets for the Academy are also available.
More complex the reopening of the Civic Museums that for now the Municipality has decided to leave closed.

HOTELS
The reopening of the hotels is more difficult, also because not only will foreign tourists be missing, but at this stage we could only travel in Tuscany. Free movement between the various regions is scheduled for June 3, when it will be more likely to reopen the first hotels in the city.
In the end we will be able to go and stay also in the second houses or in the rented houses for the holiday always if within our Region. Ready to open also the bathing establishments that will have to reserve for each beach umbrella an area of 10 square meters.

SPORT
The 25th of May is the turn of the sportsmen and women, many of whom will leave the city races - which have been allowed for practically the entire lockdown - to return to the sports centres, gyms and swimming pools. From the 18th we can resume team sports training but with all the necessary precautions. The Florentine fans, on the other hand, will have to wait because it is not yet certain when and if the football championship will resume.

THEATRES AND CINEMAS

In the middle of June we can finally return to the theatres and cinemas. We don't know yet under what conditions but we are sure that the Superintendent of Maggio Fiorentino, Alexander Pereira, and the president of Pergola, Tommaso Sacchi, will work to resume a season worthy of Florence.

The President of the Region of Tuscany, Enrico Rossi, has decided to follow the guidelines of the Government but will have the possibility, in the coming days, to anticipate or postpone these dates depending on how the COVID-19 contagion trend will evolve.
