11 to 13 June 2016, on the occasion of Pitti Uomo 90, new large artistic events in Florence
On the occasion of Pitti Uomo 90, Secret Florence comes to town. From Saturday 11 to Monday, June 13, 2016, an innovative artistic proposal that relates the contemporary languages with the extraordinary artistic heritage of Florence.
Tempo Reale, research, training and production of new musical technologies, has three performance-sound installations and sound-art, repeated rolling during the event. Living objects, a project of the Japanese Rie Nakajima and the Belgian artist Pierre Berteth, the Gabinetto G.P. Vieusseux, creates a sound world of acoustic resonances projected into the surrounding environment. Xenakis / Persepolis, imposing and impressive sound installation, composed by Iannis Xenakins in 1971 in Persepolis, is proposed for the occasion at the Museo del Novecento by the German composer Kilian Schwoon. Phasing, performance electro-acoustic installation and a cappella choir, the Museum of Santa Maria Novella, instead celebrates eighty years of American composer Steve Reich in collaboration with L'Homme Arme.
Virgilio Sieni proposes Cenacoli Fiorentini#6_Grande Adagio Popolare, four choreographic actions created for the three Cenacles and the Library of San Marco. A search of the link between human action and the place, the space between the upper room of meditation and body dialogue with nature.
Fabbrica Europa, International Festival of the contemporary scene, proposes Labyrinths: not only performance related to the language of contemporary dance, but actions of artists from diverse creative fields - from the theater to the musical and visual arts - invited to revisit places like Orti Parnassus / Horticultural, the Rose Garden, the complex of the former Leopoldine and the Botanical Garden. In this maze of short performances, participating artists like Igor and Moreno in Tame Game, Manfredi Perego with Horizon, Nicola Galli with Supernova, Mari Fukutome group Ho Ho-Do and Rino Daidoji collective FaiFai with Me to You (Eyes and Hands / eyes and Hands), Fabrizio Favale But with that peak is probably the Methedras starring Daniel White, Olga Pavlenko with Growing up in the ground and then Irene Russolillo in Today with Alice in Chiari (cello) and Emanuele Parrini (violin).

Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea depicts Joseph, a physical monologue conceived by Alessandro Sciarroni, artist, choreographer and performer in his practice combines the languages of contemporary dance to those of the visual and performing arts. On stage there is only one man back to the audience, in front of a computer. The interpreter goes in search of his image, which is deformed, it doubled and decomposed through the use of video effects.
Piazza Santissima Annunziata is the impressive theater that houses the program curated by Lo Schermo dell’Arte Film Festival for Secret Florence has selected a series of films and documentaries dedicated to contemporary art and its protagonists who were directly involved in or inspired the fashion world. It starts with a Florentine preview Annie Leibovitz: Life Through a Lens, portrait of famous American photographer directed the sister Barbara who will introduce the screening. From the archive of the festival will be replicated Hometown Boy by Yao Hung-I, a Chinese artist Liu Xiaodong portrait, star of a current exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi, and finally Urs Fisher by Iwan Schumacher, published on the occasion of the first American exhibition of 'artist at the New Museum in New York.

Free extraordinary opening Sunday, June 12, from 10.00 to 17.00, for the Marino Marini Museum that houses La Mano de Dios (9 June to 30 July 2016), first in an Italian institution of young Lebanese artist Rayyane Tabet (Ashqout, 1983) . For the occasion Leonardo Bigazzi, curator of the exhibition, will present the project in a dedicated tour, at 15:00. Tabet has made Florence the last chapter of his Five Distant Memories cycle: The Suitcase, The Room, The Toys, The Boat and Maradona, started in 2006 and divided into five parts. The four previous chapters were all commissioned and produced by major international institutions including the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), the New Museum (New York), the Pinchuk Art Center (Kiev) and the Sharjah Art Foundation for the 12th edition of the Biennale Sharjah.
Extraordinary appendix Secret Florence's program, the project by Nanni Balestrini poet, writer and visual artist . For the Museo del Novecento the artist created Minutes Columns, an art project that will involve the Renaissance loggia of Leopoldine complex from June 15 to August 28. Opening June 15 at 18.30.
