QUISITAPAS, a corner of Andalusia at the Westin Excelsior Florence

Opened the new outdoor area overlooking the Arno river where taste and conviviality

Florence is one of the capitals of food most popular at the international level, for the richness and diversity of regional and local proposals. In this dynamic environment, The Westin Excelsior Florence launches a new space - the QUISITAPAS Tapas Bar - dedicated to the culture of sharing, where the food and its mode of use become everyday life and an opportunity for socialization, also offering an international touch to the Florentines more , in line with the great tradition of hospitality of The Westin Excelsior Florence.

Sevilla and Florence, cities very similar in spirit and "color", are now even closer thanks to Manuel Sanchez Jimenez, award-winning teacher who tapas that from May 19 directs this corner of Andalucia on the riverside of the Arno, with a proposal that is inspired by his native region and is further developed through a dynamic and varied proposal of tapas, mixed with creations made from local ingredients and recipes.

To reinforce the "twinning" between Spain and Tuscany, our Executive Chef Giuseppe dalla Rosa has developed a wide selection of tasty tapas with traditional local ingredients to satisfy a clientele international taste.

QUSITAPAS is open for lunch, cocktail and dinner with a menu built around typical traditional Spanish dishes - from classic españoles tortillas served with sauces Spicy tomat with the Patatas crujientes with salsa brava, from Jamòn Iberian Pata Negra de Bellota 100% "El Gordo" to Capuchino Iberian and sweets such as creamy espuma de creme brulee - and a pure menu Tuscan and Italian food, like Pappa al pomodoro with Burrata the crispy Panzanella with vegetables and basil, Tuscan pecorino cheese cutting board with mustards fruit to Falorni's cold cuts.

Served in the Lounge Bar ORVM or Dehor Vespucci - homonymous Lungarno and with views to the whole scenery on Florence, its churches, bell towers, the Ponte Vecchio and the Florentine hills in the background - the proposals of QUISITAPAS are a real novelty in the Florentine culinary landscape.

Unique flavors, original in form, tapas and other dishes on the menu will be accompanied by a selection of wines such as Albariño Luna Creciente 2013 and Bodegas Roda Sela 2012 or Spanish craft beers such as San Miguel, Estrella Voll Damm or glutenfree Daura, as well as a selection of cocktails mixed masterfully by Antonino Di Girolamo, Head Barman at the Westin Excelsior Florence.
