Provando…dobbiamo parlare (Trying ... we need to talk)

At the Teatro della Pergola 24 to 29 November

The Pergola, from Tuesday November 24, begins the national tour of the new work by Sergio Rubini, Provando… dobbiamo parlare (Trying ... we need to talk), written by Carla Cavalluzzi and Diego De Silva, and played by the director and actor Pugliese together with Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Maria Pia Calzone and Isabella Ragonese.

A one-act play that was also made films. Same authors, same cast, slightly different title, Dobbiamo parlare (We have to talk).

A project stage and film scene until Sunday November 29, and that from here begins its long journey to the Peninsula.

The story of two couples at odds: Vanni (Sergio Rubini), fifty years, is an established writer. Linda (Isabella Ragonese), thirty years, working in the shadows to his novels. They have an attic apartment in the center of Rome. Strong of their love, they preferred to matromonio the cohabitation. Their best friends, however, Constanza (Maria Pia Calzone) and Alfredo said 'Prof' (Fabrizio Bentivoglio), a famous heart surgeon, are married, affluent, and manage their marriage as a Spa.

In an evening that is increasingly night Constance and 'Prof' burst into the home of Vanni and Linda. Constance found that Alfredo has a mistress. Part of a long row of recriminations that will last all night, and will bring unexpected bitterness in both pairs.

The comparison becomes clash, in a whirlwind and overwhelming crescendo that will involve the couple 'bourgeois', then the couple 'intellectual'. Their strength falters, the roles of accuser and accused are reversed and mingle. Which of the two pairs, the next morning, he will remain standing?

"A seated three thousand euro per month becomes a real war scenario," says Sergio Rubini, "in which not only emerge all the differences between the two pairs, but also their different points of view, distances, what of each other can not stand ".

Stimulating work, where we laugh and reflect on topics such as marriage, loneliness, youth, freedom.

Unmissable event: Thursday November 26, at 17.30, the Company will meet the audience in the theater. Riccardo Ventrella coordinates. Free admission.
