Pitti Immagine Uomo 100 back to the Fortezza da Basso
Great protagonists and new formats to celebrate the 100th edition
After a year of digital versions, Pitti Immagine confirms that the summer salons will be held in presence in Florence. It starts with an important date, Pitti Uomo 100 (dedicated to the spring/summer 2022 collection) which will take place at the Fortezza da Basso from June 15th to 17th. Then, from June 23rd to 25th
June, Pitti Bimbo 93 and, from June 27th to 29th, Taste 15.
Finally, at the Stazione Leopolda, there will be Pitti Filati 89 from June 30th to July 2nd and Fragranze 18 from September 17th to 19th.
In the words of Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, "While the work on the Connect digital platform continues with excellent results and will remain online, with the winter collections and special events, until the first week of April, we are opening registration for the next summer cycle by sending invitations to our exhibitors, with the aim of giving companies certain references for the planning of activities, well aware that from now until the summer we will all have to follow the evolution of the health situation very closely. We will be prompt in any circumstance".
Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine, continues: "We have decided to reduce Pitti Uomo from four to three days in order to meet the exhibitors' requests for maximum concentration and cost savings and, as far as Filati is concerned, we are confirming the Stazione Leopolda location, already planned for the February edition and then cancelled, because, together with the spinners, we consider it to be very suitable for a setting that was conceived, in functional and aesthetic terms, for an objectively extra-ordinary phase. In terms of organization and security at the Fortezza da Basso, as in the other venues, we are already prepared - we already were, in fact - and we are coordinating with all the institutional (Municipality, Region, Ministries) and private (carriers, airports, stations, hotels, etc.) entities involved in the overall fair activity. The entire summer cycle will be characterized by strong integration between the physical and digital formats, seeking to exploit all the possibilities of breadth and depth of service that they offer".
