Pitti Taste 2022 at the Fortezza da Basso
Three days dedicated to the Italian enogastronomical excellences with a rich calendar of events
TASTE THE UNEXPECTED! A bit 'cartoon, a bit 'pop art, colorful graphics,
full of energy and to be enjoyed with the eyes. This is the communication campaign that announces the return of TASTE. Traveling with the Diversity of Taste. The fifteenth edition of the Pitti Immagine exhibition, which brings together the best of excellence in taste and trends in contemporary food culture and kitchen lifestyle, will be held in Florence, March 26-28, 2022.
There are many new features, starting from the location. TASTE grows and moves to the Fortezza da Basso, with a brand new exhibition itinerary - starting from the Attic Floor of the Central Pavilion, going down to the Ground Floor and ending at the Cavaniglia Pavilion - designed to accompany international buyers, specialized operators, the Italian and foreign press, and the public of food lovers in the exploration of new, surprising and unexpected flavors. There are about 470 exhibiting companies, including 130 new entries: more than 90 companies more than the last edition in 2019.
The overall theme of this edition, Zero Waste, emphasizes the importance of not wasting food and respecting the environment. "It will be the main theme and will be the common thread of talks and events, bringing attention to concrete experiences of sustainability related to both the world of production and the environment, as well as that of end consumers. It will be our way of contributing to the protection of the territory and its products" said Agostino Poletto, director general of Pitti Immagine.
At this edition, special emphasis will also be placed on books about cooking, from practical to ironic manuals, and on new perspectives on food storytelling. In the wake of the first edition of TESTO [How to become a book], the new Pitti Immagine event dedicated to contemporary publishing that has just concluded in Florence.
At every edition of Taste, the city of Florence comes alive with a series of initiatives connected to taste. Finally, FuoriDiTaste is also back, with a calendar of about 50 themed tastings, special events, talks and new ways of interpreting food.
