Open Day at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze
Sunday 17 December a day of music, games and charity events in the Giardino della Gherardesca
On Sunday 17 December, the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze will host the new edition of Open Day, an event organised for solidarity purposes that has become one of the most important pre-Christmas events in the city of Florence over the years.
A tradition consolidated over the years and loved by the entire city, involving restaurants and local producers, with entertainment, a market and music in collaboration with Radio Toscana, for a party that enlivens the Giardino della Gherardesca, open to all.
The day's proceeds will be donated to the Tuscan Tumour Association ATT, to develop a support programme for sixty children and young people, and to the Tuscan Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida Association A.T.I.S.B., to support the construction of the first 'home for spina bifida' in Italy.
"Last year the theme was to bring haute cuisine within everyone's reach, this year the idea is to pay homage to typical Florentine cuisine, with restaurateurs from the most famous trattorias. There will be Paolo Gori of Trattoria Da Burde, but also Leonardo of Fratelli Briganti, the Antico Ristoro di Cambi, Buca Lapi, Buca Mario and many other friends who have chosen to come and help us out despite the fact that it is Sunday and the Sunday before Christmas,' chef Paolo Lavezzini told us.
Here are all the chefs, producers and pizza makers we can find on Sunday 17 December with their respective dishes:
Four Seasons Firenze - Chicken cacciatora with polenta
Fratelli Briganti Restaurant - Black cabbage porridge
Antico Ristoro di Cambi - Pappa al pomodoro
Buca Lapi - Braised beef with onions
