Open Day 2018
On Sunday December 16th, at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, the most awaited solidarity event returns during the Christmas period
It is now one of the most anticipated charity events of the year and the most loved during the holiday season. We are talking about the Open Day in the Garden of Gheradesca, a monumental park of the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, which this year will open its three gates on Sunday 16 December, as always from 10 to 16.
Last year more than 65 thousand euros had been collected, used for the reconstruction of two schools heavily damaged by the terrible storm that struck Livorno in September 2017: the Secondary School of 1st Degree G. Bartolena and Montenero kindergarten in Livorno. This year, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the opening, Four Seasons Florence returns to dedicate the proceeds of this important initiative to the Istituto degli Innocenti, as it has been done for many years in the past. The project chosen this year is the redevelopment of the educational-educational garden of the Istituto degli Innocenti, a space of over 3000 square meters available to children, thanks to the project created by Vannucci Piante, as well as being used as a playground , will become a real place for learning young people, where you can take lessons on plants and initiatives to engage children in approaching and discovering nature close to them.
Also this year will not miss the large Christmas market full of ideas for a solidarity shopping: from Richard Ginori and its precious porcelain, to the pure linen of Pedersoli, from the Bottega of the hotel to food and wine delights.
The music of Radio Toscana live, will entertain all those who want to enjoy a walk, taking advantage of all the delicacies such as corn polenta, necci, chestnuts, Garfagnana specialties and more, in exchange for a small donation.
The children will be entertained by the Santa Claus Company, the "Uffizi Flag", the small choir of the Pomegranate and the "Bottega dei Ragazzi". There will also be two nativity scenes, one of which is a life-size one and an artisan in movement, made entirely by hand by Tommaso Nesi of the Bottega dei Grassi Nesi.
Finally, as in previous editions, important Florentine restaurants will present their traditional dishes: Borgo San Jacopo, Buca Lapi, Touch Florence, Fuor d'Acqua, Trattoria Mario, Trattoria Da Burde, and the same Palagio Four Seasons will have in fact, a dedicated area in the park to satisfy the real gourmets, together with a space dedicated to the Pizzaiolo Romualdo Rizzuti and to one for Enoteca Pinchiorri, which will present a dish together with Savini Tartufi and Olio Giachi.
