On December 13th Tuscany could be Yellow Zone. The changes to know
A simple guide to what we could expect at Christmas. Starting with new openings
On 13th December Tuscany could reach its goal: to stay as little as possible in the orange zone and go back to its origin: the yellow zone.
"We have all the data and trend projections to say that we are yellow - explains the President of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani - I am confident that we will remain in orange for a week so that from 13th December Tuscany will return to where it started from, that is, from the yellow zone: we will have a final rush towards Christmas to give oxygen to trade and make the festivities live in full and convinced respect of individual and collective rules".
But what would the new rules be if Tuscany were to return to the Yellow Zone from 13th December?
1. We can start thinking about giving ourselves a holiday in our region, in the second homes or hotels that dot Tuscany, by the sea or in the mountains. But beware, mountain hotels are likely to be closed from December 20th until January 10th. And quarantine for those who decide to spend them abroad.
2. Re-opening restaurants, but only at lunchtime, until 6 p.m., with take-away service and take-away for dinner. Closed on 25 and 26 December.
3. From the entrance to the Orange Zone, shops open until 9pm. Shopping centres open at weekends.
4. Curfews from 10pm to 6am also on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
We look forward to further updates.
