Odeon with Oscar
Seven days dedicated to the movies with the biggest nominations, all in exclusive original version with subtitles
At the Cinema Odeon in Florence, a cinema-theatre where you can still breathe the precious atmosphere of the late nineteenth century, an opportunity not to be missed: protagonists from Monday 10th to Sunday 16th February, all the Oscar-winning films.
In this Oscar Week all the films will be shown in an exclusive original version with Italian subtitles.
THE PROGRAMMING
Parasite' (12/2, 15/2 and then from 20 to 23/2) with its 4 Academy Awards, including Best Film and Best Director, formerly the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. His is a historic victory because it is the first time that a non-American film has won the Best Film category.
Joker (11-14-16/2): with 11 nominations, what remains for many the "film of the year" won 2 statuettes, one for Joaquin Phoenix as Best Actor and one for Best Soundtrack: the cult film directed by Todd Phillips, former Golden Lion winner at the Venice Film Festival.
1917 (10-14-16/2): film directed by Sam Mendes, Golden Globe winner won three Oscars: Photography, Sound, Visual Effects.
Cera una volta a..Hollywood' (13/2): the great and nostalgic fresco made by Quantin Tarantino on the cinema of the Sixties. Oscar to Brad Pitt for Best Supporting Actor, as well as the one for Best Scenography.
Judy (14/2 and 15/2): the moving portrait of the great diva and singer Judy Garland earned Renée Zellweger an Oscar for Best Actress.
JoJo Rabbit (13/2 and 15/2) by Taika Waititi, Oscar for Non Original Screenplay
Piccole Donne (16/2 hours 15.45), the new adaptation that Greta Gerwig has made from Louisa Mary Alcott's famous novel, stutuetta for Best Costumes.
