New at Manifattura Tabacchi: "Resisting the Trouble" coming soon

Manifattura Tabacchi is at the center of an important urban regeneration project: the exhibition "Resisting the Trouble".

New at Manifattura Tabacchi: coming soon "Resisting the Trouble "Great news! Finally, on May 4th the exhibition Resisting the Trouble - Moving Images in Times of Crisis curated by Leonardo Bigazzi will open at Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence.  Here will be presented the works created by the 12 artists under 35 participating in the ninth edition of VISIO-European Programme on Artists. They are twelve films, videos and installations in the spaces of the former industrial complex, which reflect on some urgent issues generated by the global crisis and propose alternative visions to rethink the present and imagine the future.
As Michelangelo Giombini (Head of Product Development at Manifattura Tabacchi) says, "The exhibition Resisting the Trouble renews the commitment to contribute to the cultural life of Florence, which has characterized the process of transformation of the complex from the very beginning". This project continues the research path started with the five previous exhibitions organized at Palazzo Strozzi (2019 and 2015), Le Murate PAC (2018), Palazzo Medici Riccardi (2017), Cinema La Compagnia (2016).
The exhibition will run from May 4 to June 4, 2021 with the following hours: Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is limited, so reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
