Shooting of the third season of Elena Ferrante's best seller lands in Florence

Armored set and top-secret location, but it's official: Florence is back as an open-air set and it's doing it in style, hosting some filming, including the first take, of the third season of L'amica geniale, the acclaimed Italian-American series broadcast on Rai1, based on the best seller by Elena Ferrante, who returns to Tuscany, after the scenes shot in Pisa for the second season (Storia del nuovo cognome).

Probably everything will take place in two tranches of time: the first one this February and the second one in September.

The filming, it is rumored, should be in the historical center, while the house where Elena lives with her boyfriend Pietro should be located in the suburbs.
