From September 28 to October 3, the festival of the most contemporary Middle Eastern culture is back in Florence

Back in Florence from September 28 to October 3 Middle East Now, the festival dedicated to the most contemporary face of Middle Eastern culture declined in all its forms: cinema, documentaries, art, comics, music and food. To host the events and meetings the Cinema La Compagnia, Cinema Stensen, MAD Murate Art District, Cartavetra art gallery and other locations in the city

(RE)-ALIGNING PERSPECTIVES is the theme of this twelfth edition: the need for a reset, a realignment and a new scanning of our lives due to the global crisis, for which our everyday life has been and is strongly interrupted.

More than 40 films, awarded in the best international festivals, are scheduled for an intense journey to deepen the stories of Afghanistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Kurdistan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia.

To open the festival one of the most beautiful documentaries of the last year, Radiograph of a family by director Firouzeh Khosrovani, while among the most awaited previews, Hit the road, debut film by Panah Panahi, son of the famous Iranian director Jafar Panahi.

MARRAKECH IN TIMES OF STILLNESS (Tabit Rida)

Don't miss also Marrakech in time of stillness, the exhibition of the young Moroccan talent Tabit Rida, a self-taught photographer who took to the streets to document his hometown, Marrakech, in this unprecedented historical moment, at MAD Murate Art District from September 29 to November 20.
