Italian Chef Charity Night at Forte Belvedere
On 7 September, the solidarity event is back, bringing together the "designer" dishes of 14 Tuscan chefs, both starred and non-starred.
The solidarity network of Florentine chefs does not stop. For the fifth year - after a stop for Covid and four appointments dedicated to the reconstruction of Amatrice, the fight against
the fight against feminicide and support for Careggi - the traditional charity evening returns
organised on the terrace of Forte Belvedere is back.
The event will be held on Tuesday, 7 September from 8.30 p.m. and will involve some of the most renowned Florentine and Tuscan chefs, who have responded with great generosity to the appeal launched by the "Italian Chef Charity Night" committee to give a sign of continuity with the initiatives of recent years.
The evening's programme includes a buffet dinner open to the public, with a minimum donation of 25 euro to finance the new projects involving the disabled children of Livorno's Ca'Moro, the boat-restaurant that sank a few days ago, and the Villaggio Montedomini project of the "Il cuore di Firenze" foundation, with the construction of houses for the elderly in need.
This is an opportunity for participants to show solidarity and at the same time taste the signature dishes of 14 important chefs from the Florentine and Tuscan scene, including the owners of several starred restaurants: Gaetano Trovato (Arnolfo) Marco Stabile (Ora d'Aria), Filippo Saporito (La Leggenda dei Frati), Antonello Sardi (Le Tre Virtù), Marco Cahssai (Atman at Villa Rospigliosi), Giovanni Luca Di Pirro (COMO Castello del Nero) and Stelios Sakalis (Castello di Spaltenna), among others, will be present, together with talents such as Andrea Perini (Al 588), Lorenzo Romano (Insolita Trattoria) or Kin Cheung (Element), Edoardo Tilli (Podere Belvedere), Paolo Gori (Da Burde), Francesco Preite (Moi, Prato) and Salvo Pellegriti (La Vetreria), each assisted by a student from the Cordon Bleu cooking school in Florence.
During the evening, hosted by Annamaria Tossani, Florentines and tourists alike will be able to taste not only the chefs' dishes but also cantucci biscuits from the Pane, amore e fantasia bakery, wines from the Consorzio Chianti Colli Fiorentini, vegetables from Giotto Fanti Fresh, coffee from Ditta Artigianale with world champion Francesco Sanapo and ice cream from Sergio Dondoli and Cinzia Otri. In addition, for lovers of rum and slow smoking, there will be a corner with Colona rum paired with Amici del Toscano cigars.
Five years after the first edition of the charity," explains 'Forchettiere' Marco Gemelli, organiser together with Once Events, "we are asking Florence to repeat the extraordinary proof of generosity of the previous editions. The Green Pass must be shown at the entrance.
