Ilaria Rastrelli. Music and heart, face to face with one of the big X Factor Finalists 2014

Before revealing her age, we just want to tell you that this great little singer from San Mauro a Signa has all the talent she needs to make it to the very top. At 16 years old, she has a delicate voice that throws you for a loop and then that absorbed and distracted expression that made us fall in love with her. We saw her when we were glued to the television screen, during the last and successful edition of X Factor in 2014, where her adventure lasted until the final round, at the Forum of Assago in Milan. Now that the spotlights are turned off, she has a new single, entitled “My Name”, as well as many projects, dreams and the music.
Ilaria, tell us a little about your life before your success at X-Factor
A really normal life: school, home, and music. My bedroom was my refuge, where I could live in my dreams.
You have an unusual voice with an enchanting sound. When did you realize that you have this treasure?
I discovered my voice by accident. It all started with a singer who had started coming to my parish, and had asked the church choir to accompany her in a charity event. My mom, who is a member, suggested she should take me. Just one afternoon with Claudia and I could sing! Since then, music has become my greatest passion and I haven’t stopped.

Are there any plans you want to tell us about?
On December 12, my EP was released, My Name where, together with my single of the same name, there are five covers: Giudizi universali (Samuele Bersani), The Scientist (Coldplay), Anima Fragile (Vasco Rossi), I’m on Fire (Bruce Springsteen), Can’t find my way Home (Blind Faith).
What did you dream about doing as a child?
Fashion designer, actress, dancer and house painter.
