Gucci Giardino 25, the first Gucci cocktail bar in Florence
Gucci's new venue in Piazza della Signoria
Giardino 25 has arrived in Piazza della Signoria in Florence. The House's new café & cocktail bar, open all day, joins the Gucci Garden, the creative and multidisciplinary space conceived by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, and is already destined to become one of the best aperitifs in town.
Drawing inspiration from the historic florist that once occupied its spaces, the bar stands out for the harmonious and unusual contrasts generated by the encounter between the codes of the Maison and the Florentine context, drawing on the colors and scents that characterize a flower store.
Crossing the threshold, visitors find themselves in a cozy and mysterious place, a sort of nest that combines the traditional Tuscan store and the refined French bistro, in a dialogue that transcends space and time. The wooden beams of the ceiling create a warm atmosphere, alongside the boiserie that recalls the style of the late '700.
Giardino 25's dual identity, a place to enjoy intimate daytime interludes and more lively evening events, is reflected in the menu's dishes, prepared in the restaurant's kitchen, which are served all day and faithfully follow the rhythm of the seasons, drawing inspiration from the products of the Tuscan countryside. Breakfast includes Italian pastry specialties along with creations inspired by Japan and Mexico, for a modern and international selection, while light dishes are available for both lunch and dinner.
The menu is completed by the Afternoon Tea proposal, a selection of infusions and teas accompanied by sweet and savory dishes, while a special tribute is paid to the culture of coffee with a choice of special blends, to be enjoyed as espresso at the bar or, at a more relaxed pace, in one of the restaurant's lounges.
The bar is managed by Martina Bonci, of Umbrian origins, whose passion for mixology began with furtive sips in her great-grandmother's kitchen and evolved through numerous experiences throughout Italy. Martina signs balanced and colorful cocktails, including Negroni's Mémoire - a tribute to the most famous Italian cocktail, born in Florence over a century ago.
Martina Bonci infuses the same passion into the creation of non-alcoholic cocktails, driven by the desire to offer a unique imaginative experience through all of her proposals. One example is "1921," a tribute to the year Gucci was founded, characterized by earthy flavors.
The kitchen is open all day, starting at 8am for breakfast through dinner and light snacks served until 1am. Reservations are required.
