From 11 to 13 April 2016 Florence hosted the top wedding planners from around the world in 2016. The annual Destination wedding Planners Congress (DWP Congress), dubbed as the “the ONLY business focused platform for destination weddings”, is a by-invitation only arena for illustrious and eminent wedding professionals from across the world.
Among the most important VIP wedding planners have been hosted, such as Vandana Mohan from Backstage Productions and Mohomed Morani from India whose eminent clientele ranges from Mittals from London (world’s most expensive wedding USD 76 million), Kevin Lee, Sharon Sacks and Marcy Blum whose impressive portfolio includes the weddings of American Professional Basketball player LeBron James and Savannah Brinson, Hollywood actor Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.
With a concrete reputation as a coveted brand, DWP Congress organized by Dubai based QnA International, has cemented its position as the Best Congress in the World for promoting Destination Wedding Tourism. With a strong start in Athens, Greece in 2014 and a terrific response in Mauritius 2015, this year DWP Congress moved in Europe and it has brought together la“crème de la crème ” wedding planners.

Indeed Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau held more than 40 appointments with the best international wedding planners and during the event providers arranged a total of 2000 appointments, on a “one to one” basis.
Elegant and luxurious dinners were organized during th congress: Palazzo Vecchio – Salone dei ‘500, Villa Corsini e Villa di Maiano. In these, the participants admired beautiful fireworks and tasted delicious food. They got to know Florence the best way well and they caught every shade of Tuscany as a wedding destination.
