Easter at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

A calendar of Easter events celebrating conviviality, Tuscan cuisine and immersive experiences

In the heart of the Val d'Orcia, among rolling hills dotted with vineyards and cypress trees, lies a place where time seems to stand still. It is Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, a refined luxury resort set in a thousand-year-old estate, just a stone's throw from Montalcino. A corner of Tuscany where history, nature and hospitality come together in a unique experience, perfect for experiencing the magic of Easter.

Castiglion del Bosco is not just a resort: it is an ancient village over 900 years old, nestled in the Val D'Orcia Natural Park, a UNESCO-protected site, and surrounded by the vineyards of the famous Brunello wine. Here, amid the ruins of a 12th-century castle, a medieval church and a landscape that seems to have come straight out of a Renaissance fresco, stand 42 elegant suites and 11 private villas, perfectly set in the rural context yet equipped with every modern comfort.

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

The philosophy that guides Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is the celebrated Sense of Place™, a concept that invites guests to tune into the soul of the place, discovering local culture, flavors and traditions. And what better occasion than Easter to do so?

2025 marks the resort's 10th anniversary under Rosewood management, and a calendar of Easter events celebrating conviviality, Tuscan cuisine and immersive experiences has been designed to mark the occasion.

Easter lunch

On Sunday, April 20, at 12:30 p.m., the heart of the borough will host Add a Place at the Table, an Easter lunch in the name of tradition. Chef Matteo Temperini, head of the starred restaurant Campo del Drago, will offer a menu dedicated to the flavors of Tuscan Easter. (€180 per person, excluding drinks, reservations required)

The Pasquetta Braciata among the vineyards

The following day, Monday, April 21, at 12:30 p.m., space for informal conviviality with La Braciata di Pasquetta. Among the rows of the Capanna vineyard, an authentic Tuscan barbecue with breathtaking views of the Val d'Orcia will be staged. (€160 per person, drinks not included, reservations required)

Borgo sotto le stelle

On Saturday, April 19, starting at 8 p.m., the village will be lit up in soft light for Borgo sotto le stelle, a free evening of candles, live music and the atmosphere of yesteryear. A dive into the traditions of small Tuscan villages, where the community met in the squares and streets.

Chocolate Negroni masterclass

For those who like to experiment, the Chocolate Negroni Masterclass is also back, scheduled for April 19, 20 and 21 at 4:30 p.m. at the Lobby Bar. An out-of-the-box mixology class, where the classic Italian aperitivo is enriched with an unexpected sweet note. (€80 per person, limited seating)

And there is no shortage, of course, of moments dedicated to young and old alike: from the Egg Hunt to the Easter Scampagnata to Dolce Alchimia Pasquale, for an Easter that smells of tradition and sweetness.

Easter at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is more than just a vacation. It is an invitation to slow down, to be enveloped in the beauty of the Tuscan countryside, to rediscover the joy of simple things - a walk among the vineyards, a shared lunch, a starry night in the silence of the village. An experience that remains in the heart, like a childhood memory come alive again.
