Dance, music, theater and DJ sets: Fabbrica Europa is back!

From 5 May to 18 June 2016 at the Stazione Leopolda and other top location in Florence

From May 5 to June 18, in Florence, two months of big events! Back in fact the festival of dance, music, theater and multimedia. It's called Fabbrica Europa and this year arrives at its XXIII edition and will host artists like Cristina Dona, Peter Brook and Daddy G of Massive Attack.
The festival will transform the Leopolda Station from old railway station in creative transit station and multicultural exchange of artistic ideas.

On May 5, the Colombian singer, for some years based in Berlin, Lucrecia Dalt, will bring her latest disk "Ou" at the Stazione Leopolda; will follow a unique DJ set, Glasstress meets Pulse !: Max Casacci of Subsonica and Daniel Mana will depart from the station of Santa Maria Novella aboard the tramway and will record the sounds of vehicles, that will ring in direct Leopolda. And to round off the evening, a jam session between jazz, hip hop and electronica basted by some of the most interesting musicians of the Florentine scene.

Many events dedicated to multiculturalism, as We Women of the Catalan choreographer Sol Picó, where seven women from different countries, from Japan to India, will dance, sing and play together (5 May - Stazione Leopolda), but also the show Beytina, which will put together four choreographers from different cultures (Lebanon, Togo, Japan and Belgium), accompanied by the extraordinary Palestinian musicians of Le Trio Joubran (13 and 14 May - Stazione Leopolda).

Sea Song instead will star one of the finest Italian voices, Cristina Donà, for a tribute to artists such as Paolo Conte, Nick Cave, Radiohead, Lucio Dalla and many more (12 May - Stazione Leopolda).
At the Stazione Leopolda also Samuel, singer Subsonica, along with Barber Mouse, for playing the Detroit techno hit and the most known and loved pieces of jazz (May 7Stazione Leopolda), but also Battlefield by Peter Brook, one of the great figures of contemporary theater, which on 24 and 25 May will stage of Teatro della Pergola the amazing Indian epic Mahabharata. Finally the installation and Notes on pebble performance by Cristina Caprioli involve the public in a laboratory and request him to write with the stones on the floor of the Stazione Leopolda its vision of the choreography (5 to 15 May).

Two world premieres: the dance show Gamelan, conceived by Michele Di Stefano, Fabrizio Favale, Cristina Rizzo (6 and 7 May - Stazione Leopolda) and Zio Vanya by Anton Chekhov staged at the Teatro della Pergola by Serbian director Tomi Janežič (June 9 to 18).

At the Murate, Vocation asymmetry, the new work by Francesca Foscarini, who will dance with Andrea Costanzo Martini (May 18 to 20).
