Castel Porrona Relais is located in the young wine country of Montecucco. In an enchanting medieval village with two dozen inhabitants surrounded by Tuscan hills dotted with olive groves, cypress trees and vineyards near Montalcino.

Around there are the famous medieval towns of Montalcino and Pienza, a short drive away from main attractions such as Siena and San Gimignano as well as from the hot springs Bagno Vignoni, Saturnia and the coast of Punta Ala, Castiglione della Pescaia and Porto Ercole.

The five star boutique property is composed by 25 renovated rooms with a selection of noble materials and a private Castle with personal butler for exclusive use. Outdoor swimming pool, water zone & SPA, a revisited Tuscan cuisine restaurant topped by a bespoke service portray a magical atmosphere in the almost untouched Tuscan countryside.

The Castel is composed by five suites, a number of living areas, private cellar, tower with elevator and panoramic views over the Tuscan countryside, the Castle, with almost a thousand years of existence, is the ultimate escape for highly demanding Guests who wish to own an exclusive medieval property for a few days.

The restaurant Il Chiostro, offers the best of local cuisine and delicious desserts, all served in the lovely garden or in the intimate indoor area.

In the Spa, the guests can find their personal oasis in the Agua SPA, a luxurious retreat immersed in the tranquillity of the countryside, composed by a Moroccan style water zone and treatment rooms. 

In this beautiful setting we are organized various events including elegant and intimate weddings. A consecrated chapel is located on premises.

The boutique property provides a number of in-house activities as well as some exclusive experiences in the surroundings.

The Concierge team is delighted to assist guests with winery visits and tastings in Montecucco and Brunello’s Montalcino regions, horse riding, private day excursions to main art cities and villages such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo and Pienza or even a private yacht rental to cruise along the glamorous coast of Punta Ala, Castiglione della Pescaia and Porto Ercole.
