With over 50 years of experience in high-end furniture and design, the Cardini Home Design showroom, just a stone's throw from Pisa, has become famous far beyond national borders. Design and interior décor are experiencing a great season and the company is among the leaders in the sector, as well as a reference point for those who aspire to dress the spaces of their Tuscan properties to the fullest. What are the core values of your company?
A vision of home design that is always projected into the future, shared and in continuous dialogue with the productions of the most important brands of made-in-Italy design, appreciated throughout the world (Poliform, B&B Italia, Poltrona Frau, Flexform, Maxalto, Flou, Knoll, Flos, to name but a few, although the list is very long).

And the strengths of your showroom?
We prefer not to focus exclusively on the trends of the moment, but to develop a project that is beautiful in the broadest sense of the word, a lasting beauty that does not fade, that does not pass away, but survives trends, that goes beyond them. We try to capture the most elegant trait of home design and incorporate it into our showroom fittings, creating real homes complete with every setting and every accessory. All this is possible thanks also to the generous dimensions of the showroom, so that the customer can immerse himself in real home atmospheres, can grasp the emotion and be inspired. Then the furniture must go hand in hand with the interior architecture. One of today's highlights is precisely architectural design, which is an important source of inspiration for our projects. Storage boiseries, retractable doors, and material coverings integrate with the walls to provide useful and capacious spaces for storing and concealing objects, clothes and anything else, freeing and opening up the rooms of the home, which thus acquire life and brightness. We believe that interior design should encompass, at the same time, the freshness of the most up-to-date proposals and the class of a piece of furniture that can maintain its charm without ever appearing dated. Another important strength is the quality of the realisations, which must live up to expectations, and this is also a point on which we have invested a lot and to which we devote a great deal of attention and energy every day.

How do you select brands and suppliers?
There is really a bond of shared interests, taste and visions. They are suppliers but also partners, we choose projects, fittings and events for our showroom together. We share a common vision of design and the home. Together we have imagined a house that is then the one we have today, that house loved and desired all over the world, a functional and usable house. We were also a bit far-sighted: at the beginning it was not easy, people only loved antique taste, but slowly, also together with our suppliers, we saw that we had the right intuitions. The collection is also continuously updated with innovative products and projects by emerging designers where we identify new content and values to bring to the attention of our customers.

How do you work with customers to ensure that their wishes and needs are met?
With dedication and professional commitment, we try to understand the client's taste, but above all to make it consistent. We work mainly by appointment (you can write to us at cardini@cardini.it), so that a highly trained and prepared consultant is dedicated to the customer. With perseverance and attention, we try to help him realise a lasting and aesthetically pleasing project. The client feels that we want to bring him a result that truly satisfies him, and thus a relationship of great harmony is born. We try to customise his requests (even with made-to-measure work, or high decoration and craftsmanship) and make them consistent and in line with the style and elegance of which we are strong promoters.
