Becycle, Pitti's show for the cycling world, kicks off

On the stages of the Stazione Leopolda, until June 28, big names in cycling but also builders, managers and experts in smart cities and bike travel will take turns

Only a handful of days, and the eyes of the entire cycling world will be on Florence, ready to welcome and celebrate the 111th Tour de France, the world's most important cycling event that for the first time, on Saturday, June 29, kicks off from Italian soil.

The celebration of cycling in the Tuscan capital, however, has already begun: until June 28, Florence and the Stazione Leopolda are hosting the first edition of BECYCLE, the innovative event dedicated to the world of cycling that marks Pitti Immagine's entry into the world of two wheels, in collaboration with Rouleur. From sport at the highest level to everyday life, from gravel adventures to style and urban mobility, today the bicycle knows infinite ways of expressing itself and letting itself be discovered, creating ever stronger connections with different worlds, not least that of elegance, excellence and lifestyles.

The event is the meeting point for many personalities and protagonists from the world of two wheels, who take turns on the two stages of the Stazione Leopolda in a very rich program of talks, ranging from the topics of cycling as a sport at the highest level to mobility, from product design to technology to tales of travel and cycling destinations.

Enthusiasts can listen to the tales of great champions such as Vincenzo Nibali, Paolo Bettini and Maurizio Fondriest, get carried away to the boundless adventures of Omar Di Felice, discover the plans of CT Azzurro Daniele Bennati one month before the Olympics, but also look at the universe of two wheels from different angles, such as that of a builder like Cristiano De Rosa the aspect of nutrition together with Elena Casiraghi, Sport Management with Alex Carera, or the point of view of a great sports and cycling enthusiast like Linus.

There are also many topics to be discussed on the stage dedicated to tourism and destinations, where international experts will discuss various topics: best practices in cycling tourism, but also smart cities, bike economy, mobility, new trends in gravel and wine tourism.
