ANT's Charity Luxury Dinner at Palazzo Vecchio returns
On 19 October the 11th Charity Grand Gala in the Salone dei Cinquecento
On Wednesday, 19 October, after a three-year break caused by the pandemic, the flagship event of the Fondazione ANT Italia Onlus returns to Florence. This is the 11th edition of the Charity Luxury Dinner - a charity event sponsored by the Municipality of Florence - organised to raise funds to support the free specialist home medical assistance service BIMBI in ANT, which the Foundation provides to young paediatric cancer patients so that they can be cared for in the warmth of their own homes, among the affections and things they hold dearest.
The event sees the participation of Raffaella Pannuti, President of the ANT Foundation, and Simone Martini, the Florentine ANT Delegate, together with the Committee of Honour exceptionally rich in personalities. Among the welcome guests of the initiative was ACF Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi, testimonial of the BIMBI IN ANT project.
"It is a joy to finally meet again in the sign of solidarity," commented Raffaella Pannuti, president of the ANT Foundation. "Events like this become essential both for fundraising and for the presence of so many of our donors who on this special evening wanted to make tangible, once again and with great style, their idea of social responsibility and closeness to those who suffer."
Guests are welcomed in Palazzo Vecchio in the Salone de' Cinquecento starting at 7.30 p.m. with a welcome aperitif and at 8.30 p.m. the Gala Dinner begins. Music, singing, dance and solidarity are the main ingredients of the event - presented by Serena Martinelli and Stefano Baragli - that stands out every year for its refinement and elegance. The evening opens with the sound of the Chiarine accompanying the entrance of the Banner of the City of Florence and Florentine Madonnas in period dress. Following this, the Firenze Vocal Esemble Choir, directed by Valentino Zangara, accompanied by the Florence Symphonietta Orchestra, conducted by Grazia Rossi, will perform Mameli's Hymn. The show will resume at 9.30 p.m. with the Florence Tenors Voices, Edoardo Ballerini, Joseph Dahdah and Simone Balducci, who will sing the famous Neapolitan song Funiculì Funiculà, followed by another emotional moment with the participation of cellist Giulia Monti, who will perform with her Violoncello Led, a musical performance accompanied by Beatrice Paoleschi's Emox Balletto, and finally the first artistic part with Diletta Zipoli and Simone Balducci performing the famous song New York, New York accompanied by the Lyric Dance Company dancers directed and choreographed by Maestro Alberto Canestro.
