ANT Foundation's Autumn Charity Luxury Dinner

The charity event takes place on Thursday 17 October in the beautiful location of the Salone di Cinquecento

The Charity Luxury Dinner - a charity event sponsored by the City of Florence - is the most important event of the ANT Foundation in Florence and punctually returns on Thursday 17 October from 7.30 p.m. in the splendid location of the Salone di Cinquecento with the 13th edition organised to raise funds to support the free specialised home medical assistance service BIMBI in ANT, which the Foundation provides to young paediatric cancer patients so that they can be cared for in the warmth of their own homes, among their loved ones and things.

The event - organised by ANT's head of major events Cristina Casamassimi - is presented by the tried and tested duo of Stefano Baragli and Veronica Maffei, and features the participation of Raffaella Pannuti, President of the ANT Foundation, and Simone Martini, ANT's Florentine Delegate together with the Committee of Honour.

Guests are welcomed at Palazzo Vecchio in the Salone dei Cinquecento starting at 7.30 p.m. with a welcome drink accompanied by the musical entertainment of the Sagace Quartet and the artistic performances of the Manzoni Theatre dancers. Afterwards Krisba, an artistic formation composed of Barbara Vignali and Kriss Sorrentino, will perform a selection of Italian and international hits.

The evening opens with the sound of the Chiarine accompanying the entrance of the Gonfalone of the city of Florence and the Florentine Madonne in period dress. This is followed by the Florence Symphonietta Orchestra - conducted by Maestro Grazia Rossi - performing the Canto degli Italiani sung by tenor Edoardo Ballerini.

The show resumes at 9.30 p.m. with baritone Simone Balducci performing the notes of the song My Way. The musical part will continue with the performance of the Appassionante trio (Giorgia Villa, Mara Tanchis, Stefania Francabandiera) who will perform the song Sweet Dreams accompanied by the Lyric Dance Company dancers, choreographed by Maestro Alberto Canestro.

The musical show then resumes at 10.30 p.m. with Alessandra Cossu performing the song I will always love accompanied by a performance by the Manzoni Theatre Academy dancers wearing the creations of Il Giardino di Picis. This is followed by two new performances by the trio Appassionante with the song Frozen and by Yaser Ramadan who performs the song I was made for loving you. Both performances are accompanied once again by the dancers, the former, and the latter by the Lyric Dance Company, with choreography by Maestro Alberto Canestro. With these last performances of the highest level, the second part of the scheduled show comes to a close. All songs were re-arranged with arrangements by Maestro Ennio Clari.

During the evening, the ANT Solidarity Medals were presented to the companies Roy Roger's, Terranova, CreaRE, Building Heritage - Forbes Global Properties, which during the year have particularly distinguished themselves in supporting and helping the BIMBI in ANT project, and to Sadia Bellini for the volunteer category.

The Appassionante trio closed the 13th edition of the Luxury Charity Dinner by performing, together with tenor Oronzo D'Urso, the Libiam ne' lieti calici famous aria from La Traviata.

The proceeds are used to support the free paediatric home medical assistance service BIMBI IN ANT. ANT's healthcare structure in the Tuscany region is made up of 10 doctors, 1 nutritionist, 10 nurses and 4 psychologists.
