Andrea Bocelli opens the Christmas in Florence
The famous Tuscan tenor arrives on 7 and 8 December at the Foundation that bears his name in Piazza San Firenze to light the Christmas tree and for a streaming event
Everything is ready in Florence for the lighting of the large Christmas tree located outside the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) in Piazza San Firenze.
A SPECIAL EVENT
It is a 5 meters high spruce tree that on December 7th, after being decorated and decorated with a thousand lights, is accented in the presence of the famous Tuscan tenor. The event entitled ABF, Christmas Dream: dream of hope and opportunity, will be broadcast on the 8th of December. December at 5.00 pm on the official social channels of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, the founder Andrea Bocelli and the Municipality of Florence; also available on the Andrea Bocelli Foundation Youtube channel.
"It is not the first time that the spotlights are turned on the city of Florence, but this year the light, from always a symbol of revenge against the darkness, will have an even denser meaning for anyone who stops at admire the fir tree at one hundred percent of the Piazza di San Firenze" declared Andrea Bocelli.

The bond between the city and the Foundation established in 2011 by the world's most famous Italian tenor and chaired by his wife Veronica, has matured over the years, through major events such as Celebrity Fight Night in Italy, which, thanks to Bocelli, has brought guests of excellence to Florence, from Queen Rania of Jordan to George Clooney. And it was the Tuscan singer and philanthropist, together with Voices of Haiti, a choral group resulting from a project carried out by ABF, who inaugurated in 2017 the International Centre for the Performing Arts Franco Zeffirelli, roommate, together with the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, of the San Firenze complex located in the square of the same name.

For almost 10 years, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation has been carrying out activities aimed at developing its potential of individuals, in Italy and abroad, in order to guarantee them a future of opportunity and hope, by breaking down physical and social barriers, in order to enable them to express their potential. With the aim of to offer the city of Florence, an innovative project, focused on music and art, the Palazzo di San Firenzewill offer vocational meetings and workshops aimed mainly at children and young people living in the city. It will also host free twinning and cultural exchange projects in line with ABF's mission "Empowering people and communities". In 2021 ABF will celebrate 10 years of life.
